Another idea I thought of, don't know if it has been mentioned before. How about weather? Like in the wild, floods, tornados, hurricanes, forest fires etc happen all the time. So how about adding those into the game? Obviously tornados are out... I guess? Unless you have your entire colony hide...

I'm no ant expert, but I've seen and heard about some species of ants that can form super colonies through merger! How about adding that in the game? Maybe a multiplayer feature, you and your friend control the same colony! Two queens, double the ant power, and maybe harder enemies? Or this...
