I've been playing Eotu for about 12 hours total. When I went to play again my most progressed save was simply not there. Since it was the last save I played I clicked continue hoping that it would load up that save, instead it crashed and closed the game. I am using Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you playing on Steam or on a download from itch.io?
The game does make 3 incremental backups of formicarium saves. Have a look at this thread and see if it helps at all:

Okay. The next step is to send us the crash reports - unless we can re-create an issue or at least see what is causing it we have no chance of fixing it. The crash report files help hugely here.
