For some reason, I can't get to the new update.

I had already (in the settings), set the game to update automatically, then I tried updating it myself but no new version appeared. I tried playing the game to see if it already updated but I wasn't seeing anything new i.e trying to play as the leaf-cutter colony in freeplay. But, nothing but the option for wood ants and black ants. Pretty sure this isn't a bug, I don't know what's going on here. Please help!

this beta only work on steam i tink and u need to activate it.
in properties go to betas and put the code christmasants.

Note that this isn't an actual update. It's a beta given out early for player to test and give feedback about the new level and movement system. So expect a lot of bugs and glitches.

As above - not an update, but a beta test of features therefore very glitchy, so opt-in only. Follow the instructions in this post to activate the beta (note: it will disable the campaign levels; it's mainly to test the new movement code, leafcutters in freeplay, and the first two extra missions):
