I was thinking about this recently as well. Modelling the spread of parasites and what kind of environments foster them could add a lot to the game, and in addition I would like to allow for cleaning symbiosis, where species can specialize in eating parasites off of other fish. It may be more of a long term goal than some features more close to the core of the gameplay, but it is definitely on my radar. Thanks for the suggestion!
