Just another lovely shot showing the progress Matt's making on the artwork for the rainforest levels (which will feature leafcutters). It's really feeling like a proper biome in of its own now. We want each set of levels going forward to feel unique, and the artwork is key to this. Well played, Matt.

Art, no matter how impressive, does not mean finished gameplay. While it looks nice, the new enemies haven't been coded in, colony v. colony hasn't been done, etc.

Looks absolutely stunning, cannot wait to see the variety of plants in the new update, as well as the water feature I see you've implemented there.

Can we harvest leaves from the majority of those plants or only specific ones in certain locations?

This is going to be a balance issue as we test the map with the finished mechanics, but with the very clever vertical movement system Matt has devised in theory most of the leafy greens can be harvested. We'll need to do a bunch of tweaking to that.

Are there quality differences between the plants? Would be interesting when players had to find the best plants on a map for maximum resource gain.
 
imagine the leaf of different plants gave a certain amount of fungus (so a different amount of food) and the player would need to learn by trying each ones to take more of the ones that makes more food (and maybe we could do something to increase the rate of apparition of the plants that give us more food)
