The great blue skimmer - an American dragonfly - will feature alongside the fire ants in the next major update coming to Empires of the Undergrowth. This large dragonfly is an aerial predator, well adapted to a life in the wetlands of North Carolina.

Here's a show reel of some of her animations. Scale is quite difficult to judge in this video, but trust us, compared to the fire ants she's positively titanic!

Just a small detail: With the abdomen movement from second 6 to 7, it looks like the end of the landing animation doesn't bring it all the way back to its default position.
