Solenopsis invicta the red imported fire ant grows up to 1.40 millimeters in length and are extremely aggressive. If they’re nest is disturbed they release a chemical pharamones that in English would say “attack and sting all of you, for the queen charge!” They are small but they have many numbers of ants. They sting and bight, and are on of the few ants that can crawl up glass straight up, because the lick they’re feet with acid that is sticky in order to do this. They live in North Carolina and other regions. They were ariginally in Argentina but were carried by ships to American. They live in constant combat with Solenopsis xyloni the southern fire ant. They definitely live up to they’re reputation of being one fiercest ants in America.
