What happens if you do a formicarium challenge before even digging out of the nest?

I did that on 2.2, and whenever the timed attacks trigger the enemy ants will dig out your entrance for you. Very rude, I say. Didn't even knock or call first.

There is a possilibily that this MIGHT work in 2.1 because there's no critter that can actually dig, but I'd have to test that.

Nope. 2.1 the hermit crabs come barging in, without even knocking or wiping their feet on the entry mat.
