Most people seem to believe that T4 will be the best update in the game. And, it makes a lot of sense. This update adds three new ant species and a very beautiful environment, not to mention what's in store with the music. The logical assumption would be that it will indeed bring the most content in a single update. While that's true currently, it will probably be dwarfed by T5. Here's why.
When the game began, each sort of "big update", those which added new creatures and stuff like that, weren't as big as they have gotten. For example, the Beach update only had three new critters. But in the leafcutter update, ten creatures were added, all in one update. It seems that these big updates have turned into major updates, and the major updates' quality just seems to keep rising up. The fire ant update is now set to introduce 14 types of insects, and even four amphibians. What's to stop the devs from creating an even better update, with say, 25 new creatures? Maybe it won't be that big, but the statistics say it will be bigger than the Fire Ant update. The same goes with quality. The environment, music, and mechanics for every major update is on the ascent, just like the size of them. Because of this, T5 will most likely be a better update in general. And we can't forget, T5 was being worked on at the same time as T4 for quite a while. This stopped, presumably to get T4 out by the end of 2021. This means that a large chunk of work from T5 is already done, and a refreshed (probably) slug disco will be ready to add even more content to T5 as it develops more and more, meaning that the update to 1.0 will probably be the best update in the game for certainly a long period of time.
