This is actually good, as I never touched those fishes, also they are dangerous to touch for two reasons:
1.Fishes are washed out on the first tide rise in 2.1
2.Other wood ants harvest from the fishes and it might be a danger to take on them.

You can always do the 'fast snatch' by rushing a few workers past the last attack wave of day 1 to harvest some fish.
