Crashing

Hey I'm relatively new to this game and I love it to death but lately I've been experiencing my game crashing and it usually happens mid misson during the formicarium missons and its kinda getting irritating. Its happened to me like 5 or 6 times within the last 2ish hours I'm not sure whats worng but can anyone help me out?

Most crashes are down to hardware. Could you please tell us your system specs?
