It would be really cool to choose how many bugs you place in the Formicarium, like "Sustained Flow" and just numbers. Maybe, you could add some food along with ants. As they collect the food, the ant's levels and numbers that come out of the tube increase.
You could add the scientist's voice in Free-play by sensing enemies that go into and out of the nest. This (I think) is similar to the way that he says, "The colony is starving." You would need to add lines so that he would say something if they left.
