Fortunately there will be new content after 1.0, even if it is only bug fixes and more extra levels. I know it's far-fetched, but I'm still hoping that there will be a campaign part two within the main game, right after you complete the first campaign. And plus, the ICS will stay alive for a while completing the impossible basically every day, so I wouldn't expect the game to die that soon.

In the promised land livestream Liam accidentally leaked a good chunk of the T5 content, so we know the focal species and some of the enemies. In the discord you are allowed to mention it with spoiler tags, but I'm not exactly sure about the forums.

If I recall correctly, the lowest deadline that could be given is between now and fifty years later. That's just what I remember though.
