Game performance

Since playing freeplay, I've noticed that there is a rather steep performance decline after around 100 - 120 ants on my setup. Now, I know this is probably normal and my system does undercut the minimum requirements but I'm curious as to what everyone else gets. Here are my frames and setup.

RAM: 2 x 4 (8)GB
CPU: Ryzen 5 1400 OC @ 4.79 GHz
GPU: GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Normal frames: 30 - 40 FPS - High settings
Drop: 10 - 15 FPS at 100 - 120 ants

If you could fill it out in a similar fashion that would be great.

Also, a question for the devs, is the game CPU or GPU intensive and how well does it use cores (as in will it use more than 1 etc...)

The game is definitely more CPU-intensive and as the amount of ants rises, so does the AI workload. Compared to a typical RTS the ants do a lot of thinking. For Freeplay, the issue of lots of creatures combined with a lot of food entities in play lead to a slowdown. We're working on optimising it.

GPU-wise the game isn't too demanding.
