[Mac][High Sierra 10.13.1] Game basically unplayable graphics issues

Running on the Late 2014 4K retina 27" iMac with a recent update to High Sierra.

a) When game first launched, it glitched and machine actually went to sleep. After I woke it up I was able to start a colony.
b) I can't play any levels other than the challenge. When I try to select the new home level the description box appears for just a moment then vanishes. I have tried different graphics settings to no avail.
c) Can't get out of fullscreen mode - If I try to chose windowed or windowed fullscreen it just resets the dialog to show full screen. If I select anything other than 5K resolution I can watch it tick up to full resolution again.

I'm game to provide any additional information, not sure what log files are typical to post.

Shall pass this onto Matt. But the very first thought is that your graphics drivers likely need updating.

System claims to have no updates available. I did update to High Sierra only a few days ago, but only bought this game last eve so not sure if it worked on previous OS.

I've got a very similar setup. Also an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2. I've not experienced such big issues but like I've written in another post in this forum I have run into some problems regarding the ingame shadows.

I've tried to uninstall everything, then reinstall via steam, without change.

I've launched without the other 2 monitors plugged in, without change.

After the last reinstall I got a crash immediately upon launch, and emailed it in as directed elsewhere. No idea if just bad luck or if there is something useful in there.

Ive got an amazing cpu that crunches 99% of anything framerate wise thats thrown at it but on High Graphics Settings the game crashes heaps..
Changed to pretty low and all good... Don't know why tried a tonne of things to fix but no luck... GPU fails randomly, not even during a large assault or cluster of ants where you'd expect some issues but just following 1 ant will do it...
