Colony
Army ant side mission: EXCUSE US
Objectives:
- kill 3 uber creatures (mantis, cricket and whip spider)
- bring 500 media army ants to the exit
Your colony:
- You cannot access your underground colony. The underground is already dug out. Ants will come out of the nest from the entance like 3.2.
- The queen is ereptor queen to save time for the devs. You have 19 ereptor workers in the nest group that you cannot control.
- 19 media ready to go to the surface
- Max pop for soldiers: 100-125 ants
- Pre-built food store: 1900 - 2500
New mechanic:
- You have 15 locations to build brood chamber. Click a unit in the menu and workers will randomly pick a chamber to build in. If there is already a group in the nest pheromone, building brood tile will make workers add more ants to that group.
- Upgrading works similarly, but the workers randomly pick a tile in nest pheromone to upgrade.
- Example: if group A (major) is put in nest pheromone, build more major will add to number of group A. Build more media will create group B (media) in another location and they are put in nest pheromone. Move group B to pheromone 1, build more media will create group C (media) in another location and they are put in nest pheromone.
- So this mechanic will make you juggle ant groups between nest and 1-5 pheromone regularly, which means your ants have to go back to the nest for upgrade.
It’s quite complicated, I hope you guys can understand.
Enemy:
- The surface only houses strong creatures that fights eachother (due to the leafcutter in the area). Scavenging should be prioritize early game.
- The leafcutter colony on the hill will split into 3 harvesting team. The nearer they are to the exit, the stronger they are. They will move further and further away from their nest to harvest leaves.
- Leafcutter AI will act similar to 3.1, hit them hard enough and they will bring reinforcement from other groups to that location. Distract them this way or you can just cut straight through their line. When they run out of leaves, they will closer to your entrance.
